Hermitage
The main art museum in Saint Petersburg and one of the most famous and largest in the world, founded by Catherine II. The main exhibition occupies the Winter Palace, the former residence of the Russian tsars, and four other buildings located in the historic center of Saint Petersburg. In total, the Hermitage exhibits almost 3 million works of art (paintings, sculptures, graphic works, coins, medals, objects of applied art).
It is one of the most impressive art collections in the world. It has the masterpieces of Rembrandt, Rafael, Rubens, Leonardo da Vinci, Velazquez and many others. The visit includes the gala rooms of the Winter Palace, the Little Hermitage, the rooms of the collections of Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Flemish, French painting, the private rooms of the tsars.
